Introduction

This policy applies between you, the user of this website, and AI Expert Academy, the owner and operator of aiexpertacademy.courses (and app.aiexpertacademy.courses). It governs our use of any and all data collected in relation to your use of the site and any services provided through it.

Definitions and interpretation

"Account" means collectively the personal information, payment information and credentials used by users to access content and any communications system on the site.

"Content" means any text, graphics, images, audio, video, software, data compilations and any other form of information capable of being stored in a computer that appears on or forms part of this site.

"Cookie" means a small text file placed on your computer or device by AI Expert Academy when you visit certain parts of this site.

"Data" means collectively all information that you submit to the site, including but not limited to account details and information submitted using any of our services.

"AI Expert Academy" means CB Productions LLC, the company that operates the website and e-learning platform at aiexpertacademy.courses (and app.aiexpertacademy.courses), of Sharjah Media City, Sharjah, UAE. CB Productions LLC is the controller responsible for personal data processed through the site.

"Service" means collectively any online facilities, tools, services or information that AI Expert Academy makes available through the site, either now or in the future.

"User" means any third party that accesses the site and is not employed by AI Expert Academy in the course of their employment.

"Website" means aiexpertacademy.courses and app.aiexpertacademy.courses, and any sub-domains of those sites unless expressly excluded by their own terms.

Data collected

When you contact us or buy a plan, we collect the information you submit through our forms: your name; work email address; company name; number of employees; telephone number (optional); and the content of any message you send us. To use the learning platform you also create an account with a name and email address.

We automatically collect certain technical data when you use the site: IP address; web browser type and version; operating system; and, where you have consented to analytics cookies, a record of the pages you view and your activity on the site (see the cookies section below).

We do not collect or store card numbers. Payment card data is handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor.

Our use of data

Any personal data you submit will be retained by AI Expert Academy for as long as you use the services provided on the site. Data submitted through any communications system may be retained for a longer period of up to one year.

Unless we are obliged or permitted by law to do so, your data will not be disclosed to third parties, including our affiliates.

All personal data is stored securely in accordance with applicable data protection principles.

Data may be used by us for the following reasons: internal record keeping; improvement of our products and services; sending you promotional materials by email that may be of interest to you; and contact for market research purposes. Such information may be used to customise or update the site.

Service providers and data processors

We use a small number of trusted third-party service providers to operate the platform. Each provider processes only the data necessary to perform the service we have engaged them for, and all processing is governed by appropriate data processing agreements.

Our current service providers are:

Stripe — payment processing. Stripe receives your card details directly and processes payments on our behalf. We never receive or store raw card numbers. See stripe.com/privacy.

WorkOS — sign-in and authentication for the learning platform (app.aiexpertacademy.courses). WorkOS processes your email address and authentication credentials.

Convex — application database and hosting. Your account data, course progress and learning records are stored in Convex.

Vercel — website hosting for aiexpertacademy.courses. Vercel may process your IP address and standard web server logs.

Resend — transactional email delivery (order confirmations, password resets, notifications).

Bunny Stream — video delivery for course content. Bunny Stream processes video playback requests.

PostHog — product analytics, used on the marketing site only where you have consented to analytics cookies, to understand how the site is used.

Google Analytics — website analytics, used on the marketing site only where you have consented to analytics cookies, to measure traffic and usage.

These providers are not permitted to use your data for any purpose other than providing the services we have requested.

Changes of business ownership and control

AI Expert Academy may from time to time expand or reduce its business, and this may involve the sale or transfer of certain divisions to other parties. Data provided by users will, where relevant to any division transferred, be transferred along with that division. The new owner will be permitted to use the data only for the purposes for which it was originally supplied.

Where data will be transferred in this manner, you will be contacted in advance and given the choice to have your data deleted or withheld from the new owner.

Controlling access to your data

Where you are required to submit data, you will be given options to restrict our use of that data. This includes the option to restrict use for direct marketing purposes and the option to restrict sharing with third parties.

Your right to withhold information

You may access certain areas of the site without providing any data at all. However, to use all services available on the site you may be required to submit account information or other data.

Accessing your own data

You may access your account at any time to view or amend your data. You may need to modify or update your data if your circumstances change. Additional data relating to your marketing preferences may also be stored, and you may change this at any time.

Data security is of great importance to AI Expert Academy. To protect your data we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure data collected online.

Changes to this policy

AI Expert Academy reserves the right to change this privacy policy as we may deem necessary from time to time or as may be required by law. Any changes will be posted on the site immediately, and you are deemed to have accepted the updated policy on your first use of the site following the changes.
